“Such Incredible talent at such a young age!”

The Jamestown Arts Center is thrilled to announce our fall musical residency in partnership with the acclaimed Heifetz International Music Institute. This program, which began in October 2013, will include an in-school educational component in addition to musicales in private homes and a public concert at the JAC.

This program is an incredible opportunity for the region to experience world-class musicians in a meaningful way and in an intimate setting.

For this sixth residency, hosted by the Jamestown Arts Center, a trio of young musicians will spend a week in Jamestown. During their time here they will spend five days giving presentations and small group workshops at RI schools, including Jamestown Schools, Exeter West Greenwich Junior High School, The Pennfield School, and J.M. Walsh School for Performing and Visual Arts. The musicians will also have the opportunity to perform several musicales in private homes. The highlight of this residency will be a community concert held at the JAC on Saturday, October 24 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 General Admission, $25 JAC Members, and $15 for those 25 and under.

This program is a unique opportunity for audiences, young music students and community members throughout Newport County and beyond to experience the incredible talents of some of the most accomplished young artists from the Heifetz International Music Institute.
