CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

• A student withdrawing before the start of a class, workshop, or camp, must notify the Jamestown Arts Center of his/her intent to withdraw ten (10) business days or more before the start date to receive the class fee less a 2.75% processing fee. Any cancellations due to COVID-19 will be refunded in full.
• A student withdrawing from a class, workshop, or camp less than ten (10) business days but more than five (5) business days before the start date must notify the Jamestown Arts Center of his/her intent to withdraw to receive the class fee less a 25% processing fee. Any cancellations due to COVID-19 will be refunded in full.
• A student withdrawing from a class, workshop, or camp less than five (5) business days before the start date must notify the Jamestown Arts Center of his/her intent to withdraw and is not entitled to a refund nor will receive a credit (unless an extreme medical issue arises). Any cancellations due to COVID-19 will be refunded in full.
• Due to the fact that classes can quickly reach maximum capacity, online registration does not guarantee a space in a class. If the class you have registered for has reached capacity and can no longer accept any registrations, you will be alerted promptly and a full refund will be issued.
• We do not offer pro- rates to attend part of a course.
• The Jamestown Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any course, class, camp or workshop. In the event of cancellation, full refunds will be granted. Any cancellations due to COVID-19 will be refunded in full.
• Classes, workshops or camps postponed because of weather or factors beyond our control will be made up, if possible, at the end of the session. The JACfollows the school cancellation policy of North Kingstown School Department.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR POLICY

Virtual Class: If a student’s instructor deems their behavior too disruptive in a virtual setting, the instructor will remove the student from the virtual class and parents will be notified. The student can return to the following class for a “probationary” period lasting the remainder of the session. If no further incidents occur they will be allowed to stay and finish class. If further incidents occur, the instructor will remove the student from the virtual class and they will NOT be allowed to return. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

In-Person Class: If a student’s instructor deems their behavior too disruptive, the student will be removed from class to sit with a JAC staff at the front desk for a period not exceeding twenty minutes, and parents will be notified that their child has been removed from class. Children who are removed from class more than once in a single day must be sent home with their parents. The student can return to the following class for a “probationary” period lasting the remainder of the session. If no further incidents occur they will be allowed to stay and finish class. If further incidents occur, the student’s parents will be notified to pick up their child and they will NOT be allowed to return. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
