The Jamestown Arts Center is thrilled to announce a concert with Billy Stritch, Grammy-winning composer, famed musical director, and long-time arranger, producer, and pianist for Liza Minnelli, on Friday, July 17 at 7:30pm. Alongside Broadway performer and Tony Award winner, Jim Caruso and with Steve Doyle on bass, Billy Stritch will bring his award-winning showmanship and sense of humor to a transformed JAC gallery space, where audience members will delight in an evening of songs in a fun nightclub atmosphere. Billy breathes new life into the Great American Songbook, with extraordinary range and sophistication in his vocals and on the piano. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see this amazing performance in the intimate setting of the JAC!

This event serves as the kick off to the Mary Schachtel Wright Programming Fund to honor this innovative and integral member of our community for all that she has done in Jamestown and beyond. As the founder and artistic director of the Jamestown Community Theatre (JCT), Mary has directed over 20 theatrical productions. In collaboration with the JAC, she has run theatre summer camps and she regularly holds acting classes at the JCT. Mary has taught in both NYC and RI, and continues to tutor students.
