Cows (3 minutes) Directed by Sandra Boynton. Animated. A herd of sincere, yet over ambitious bovines perform an all out musical number. Shown at the 2014 RIIFF’s opening night and Grand Prize winner best animated children’s short.
Blinder Passagier (The Stowaway) (20 m.) Directed by Maria Brendle. From Switzerland. A little girl who has run away from a children’s home believes she has found a safe hiding place at a blind woman’s home. But it doesn’t take long for the woman to become aware of the little girl’s presence.
For the Love of Dogs (26 m.) Directed by Tim O’Donnell. An inspiring true story told through the eyes of Cory: a brilliant and talented 11 year old boy with Asperger’s Syndrome. Cory’s passion for dogs brings him to the National Dog Show and opens his communication channels with the world around him.
The Hero Pose (12 m.) Directed by Mischa Jakupcak. Eight year old Mia is desperate to do anything but hang out at her father’s house while he is trying to sell a car that doesn’t run. Precious moments ensue between father and daughter as the two finally pause and connect.
Pony Place (10 m.) Directed by Joost Reijmers. From the Netherlands. Grandmother Koba has to take care of her grandchild Emma’s digital horse farm while the girl is away on vacation.
Rabbit and Deer (16 m.) Directed by Peter Vacz. From Hungary. Animated. The friendship of Rabbit and Deer is put to the test by Deer’s new obsession to find the formula for the 3rd dimension.
When Pigs Fly (5 m.) Directed by Sandra Boynton. Animated. The gentle relationship between a parent and child unfolds to a song by Ryan Adams, who makes a cameo appearance.
Film evening begins at 7:00pm. Suggested donation of $10 at the door.
